Al-Madinah is a sacred city, as Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (may Allah be pleased with him)


 Al-Madinah is a sacred city, as Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that The prophet had said :
(AL-Madina is a sanctuary from that place to that. Its trees should not be cut and no heresy should be innovated nor any sin should be committed in it, and whoever innovates in it an heresy or commits sins (bad deeds), then he will incur the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people).
Demarcation marks appear notably at the boundaries of the city. This sacred cordon though requires no special religious garb (Ehram), but it should be observed in such way no tree shall be cut, no brute should be hunted. It is a declared safe peaceful area for all creatures. Respecting it is abidance to the orders of God Almighty and respecting his Prophet (peace be upon him) as well. 




It is the shelter and the burial place of the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him). Throughout the history, the city had borne many names like (Teibah), (Taba), (Al-miskeenah), then eventually It was called Yathrib, that was before Hijrah, but later the prophet (peace be upon him) changed its name to be (Al-Madinah). The foundation of the city returns back to the remote ancient ages where The roots of the city was connected to the (Al-maneen) reign, who had had a flourished civilization in the period between 360-1300 B.C.
 
Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah lies in the west side of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at Latitude : 24.469 a Longitude : 39.614, . At (600) meter above sea level, It is located (430)Km. north of Makkah Al-mukarama, (150)km. east to the Red Sea, (850) Km. from Riyadh the capital. The city spreads on (589) km2, which (293) km2 is an Urban area while the rest of the land lies out side the city cordon. The population of the city is (995,619) according to 1425H statistic.    
 
It is a fact that Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah enjoys many blessings and bliss, making it a genuine holy city attracts many Muslims from different parts of the world. It has been said about its blessings that speech narrated by Abdullah Bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) as he quoted from the Prophet : (Ibraheem had made Makkah a sacred city and pray for it, and I do make Al-Madinah a sacred city and I prayed for it as Ibraheem did for Makka). Ibn Omer (may Allah be pleased with him) Narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) had said (whoever is able to die in Al-Madinah must do, I will ask forgiveness for those who die in Al-Madinah). Moreover, There are many sayinges referred to the prominent position of he city and its blessings.
